Normally I like a bit of the old Zed Zed Top, and normally I like a bit of the old Todd, but both these tunes are kinda boring right now. I'm just going to edge it to B.

B is nice Todd and A is nice ZZ Top, but neither are real peak tracks from either artist for me. Tough, but i'll go with Billy's guitar this morning.

Todd is an inexplicable blind spot for me.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I've listened to ZZ Top with open ears on several occasion as they have their admirers but I've come to the conclusion that they are really not for me. The Todd Rundgren tune was much more easy to digest

45 years ago I likely would have voted for ZZ. But here we are.

Re: 70s Cup Round 2 Match 4
i'm of the osgood school of thought. i love both tracks. they were both a huge part of my 70s.
the question is, do i want the crunchy, driven zz or the poppy, melodic todd?
in this case, i'll go with my earlier love.
p.s. for the tough guys who went to tough schools... you have no idea. i went to an all girl public school in the new orleans area in the late 70s. we are talkin brutal.
it would've been even worse had i ever actually attended.

I can smell A's sweaty ballsack through my stereo, no thanks. B's not my thing really, and I haven't cared much for other Todd Rundgren tunes/albums I've heard, but it's nowhere near as obnoxious at least.

Todd needs to be repeatedly whacked with a large instrument. Preferably a sharp one.
A is not prime Top but is good enough here.

I don’t mind that Top track, it’s unreconstructed boogie rock but gets in and out quickly. However, that’s a glorious Todd track from one of his records I don’t have - I’ll rectify that shortly - and it’s a clear winner.

Credit to ZZ Top for absolutely reveling in what everybody here that hates them hates about them.
And Todd has had great moments, but he's generally a smarmy bastard who thinks much of himself. When he's not trying so hard to be clever, he can be quite affecting. This is not one of those moments.
A is pretty slight, ultimately, but at least it's not demanding you appreciate its genius.

I should abstain from voting here, but I guess B wins for not being ZZ Top.

A is everything I loathe. I can just picture some self-satisfied middle-aged bloke in a pink shirt, mid-life crisis Oakleys on his face, driving down a country road in his drop-top Jaguar, yelling at cyclists while blasting this.
B isn't very good either but at least it's not A.

Todd easily, nothing against ZZ Top but its no match for Todd in his prime, not one of his very best tracks but still pretty wonderful.

It's not prime ZZ Top, indeed and a bit soft Todd too but since I am re-evaluating Rundgren on the back I am going to cruise with him next year, I'll punt in a
