TTC (often referred to as The Trees) should not be confused with Trees.

A Christian outfit that produced some pleasant enough stuff. This offering is adequate enough.

B is boppy enough but not my thing at all

So:

TTC's Psalm is too anodyne, all quivering and sniffling.

Cerrone I had to play a bit of, too, is that Italian deep disco? Moroder it ain't, but he'll eke by, so long as I can break before ten.

I liked the first part of that Trees Community track better than the rest - especially when it got all mediaeval on my ass, and I liked it better than the Cerrone track too, so...

Strangely, I liked Psalm 45 but much preferred Cerrone's upbeat synth sound.

A is a brave pick, and I enjoyed it even though I think it could be half the length. It is so sincere that it ends up sounding other-worldly.
B is a Euro-disco classic that was as good as anything Moroder was doing.

A actually has a strange appeal. Much Christian music is annoyingly preachy, but this ethereal piece takes the opposite track. My only problem (aside from length) is the rather lumbering guitar riff. B is fantastic; I loved it as a child, and today it still sounds like the freshest Eurodisco track ever made. I admire the bravery of A's pick, but it'as up against one of the greatest tracks of the 70s.

wow. one of those very weird match-ups.

of course, i am a medieval type in many respects. A had its flaws, but much of it was groovy, pretty, well-played, even with the meandering twists and turns (not that i'm against meandering, as a general rule). strange, unexpected bits thrown in.

B doesn't much appeal to me, frankly. was it 6 minutes before they changed anything up? and what the fucque are those creatures under the table??

they both ran longer than they really needed to be. unless you have shrooms for the first one and coke for the second.

I'm going for A because I find it quite affecting - and refreshing - and I expect it'll get fewer votes here

I've never been keen on that relentless propulsive Moroder shite and B takes it to an extreme

There was a lot of oddball folk around in the early '70s, people who'd taken way too many drugs and were doing very weird and sometimes fascinating things. There are some records I love, some I find interesting but difficult to sit through, and some that are self-indulgent twaddle. This one, unfortunately, got stuck somewhere between categories B and C. Some nice bits, but a bit of a chore, especially given it's eight minutes long: I couldn't quite make it all the way.

B is even longer, and it's in what is a straight-up Marmite genre. I am very much in favour.

I've been getting into Cerrone recently.

Christ alive! A is the soundtrack to getting burnt alive inside a woven wood statue. B is the sound of Tony Ferrino spinning the desks at Annabel’s. Champagne all round!

I'm surprised to find myself listening to B's Moroder-style disco all the way through. I wasn't annoyed or bored but....

I totally adore A. It helps to love weird folk stuff in general but I think it's full of ideas, skill, and passion. I love it even more because of its earnestness not despite it, and I say that as someone that is not the least bit religious.
