I want to be able to say more about A but can't.
A little tedious for my liking
AD2 on the other hand is the dog's wotsits. One of the great German bands of all time.
Full of music
So this one is easy

A is a lot of fun, but B is more my speed.

Amon Duul II all the way, couldn't vote against it!

I'm a big fan of Amon Duul II - they're second only to Can in the Kraut pantheon as far as I'm concerned. This is a beautifully heavy, atmospheric piece from one of their classic albums, and easily gets my vote here over the other selection (which really IS a novelty act!)

A had a nice angular groove, but the tinny production pretty much ruined it. B is pleasant and almost wins by default.

Damn. I want to vote for A because it's new to me and I like its attitude and so on, but B's just on another level.

B is a little masturbatory and lacks the emotion I want out of this kind of music but it's not annoying like A which sounds like he's saying "I stopped moving again".

A was fun for a minute or two, but not for its full length.
Amon Düül II have some good moments but I find them tiresome over album length. This track is intriguing enough without doing much that wows me.

Re: 70s Cup Round 1 Match 2
The drum intro to A reminded me of "Do You Believe in the Westworld?", but then turned into a weird novelty catchy punk thing with 60s keys and guitar writ large. It's a big bag of fun, but I'm not convinced I'd want to listen to it more than the once.
I do like Amon Duul II, but I get the impression that they were the bell-bottomed hairy-bastards of rock who just happened to hitch their cart to a passing bandwagon. After God's Cock and Yeti, I don't have much time for 'em, and this is a bit of a sub-Hawkwind effort. A bit lumbalpunktion, dontcha think?

This era of AD II reminds me of Hawkwind too, but where the latter band were real ale-and-dungarees, strictly for the polytechnic dopeheads, AD II got higher.

Nah, Hawkwind were the real-deal back then, aimed higher and went further. Then went into real ale and dungarees. Though I've long held the opinion that when most bands say they were into krautrock in interviews, they really mean Hawkwind, but are too ashamed to say so.
