Round 1 is up and running! Voting on this round will close on Sunday October 21 (Australian time)....

If you are missing your track in this or any subsequent draw- please assume that you have a bye! There's only one per player.

Round 2 will go up on Wednesday!

This is the first song vs song cup I've participated in, and I don't really understand how they work, but I'm happy to remain ignorant for now.

The MASH group should be put on life support already.

Were any of them even born before 1970?

The one song I was uncertain about is getting roundly slaughtered. Note to self: when in doubt, play it safe.

lol...Not your fault I was saddled with an impossible match up...A jaunty, fun L.A. punk number never stood a chance against what most consider a Krautrock pillar...Hell, I'm glad some enjoyed (and were exposed to it for the first time) it regardless of how they voted...I'm sure most of my list will follow a similar pattern... :D

We've come to the end of round 1 and I'm numb already. What have I learned? Warren Zevon was actually allowed to make records and judging by the standard of entries I'm going to be arrested for murder if I hear another track from Slade or Curtis Mayfield.

I agree Frank

There were about three tracks in the whole round that I would consider seminally robust

Incidentally, I am still waiting for Hatz's list. Left messages for him but no response.
I may have to find another player for him.

Maybe he's forgotten about doing a list like he forgot the '70s.
