Oh dear.
B is one of the most forgettable things The Stone Roses ever put to vinyl. It's a shame that this has been chosen to represent them really. Some nice guitar from Squire, but there's not much else to get excited about.
A starts with some twee pissing about with the usual out of tune singing and then does the cliche quiet to loud thing. Weezer were true runts of the litter, almost everyone else did this kind of thing better.

A. That Stone Roses crap is pathetic. Well more pathetic than A.

B is a beaut

Pfffffft. Christ, this final is a disappointment, I guess this is what happens when by definition you pick the average of the board's taste, you get the most average tracks. This could be part of a "Now That's What I Call Beige" compilation. I don't understand why they went to the trouble of recording such a nothing of a song, or why the studio/recording engineer didn't turn them away until they'd bothered to do something more interesting. Seems a criminal waste of everyone's time, including mine.

And not only does all that apply to B, and it's not only a piss-poor track which shows how flukey the band were in recording a handful of decent pop songs, it was also released in 1989.

Surely this tie can be annulled. Weezer don't deserve a fucking thing, and neither does B for trying to shoe-horn a Stone Roses track into the cup.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Agreed with what Fish says, and nothing to add about either track.

Gah. I'm not voting for A, and B is from '89.

Seriously...

I can only echo what's been said before. Eight minutes of glooomy indie versus one of the most enervated Stone Roses track, from the 80s. If you're going to feature them, at least have the nous to pick something from the second album. I'm not exactly abstaining, but since this is bound to be a forfeit, I'm not bothering

A

I still like Weezer.
Well, their first two. Maybe the third.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I like some Weezer songs. I don't recall this being one of the ones I like.

I do quite like B, though it's lesser Stone Roses. But it's not from the '90s.
