The Stereolab doesn't play for me... and I can't find a version that isn't live.

The title of B should be the title of A, which is everything I hate about the 90s all wrapped in one neat little package. Not sure I could have even voted for it against Bryan Adams.

B is slightly outside the period of Blur I like best, but any faint praise would do. Someone other than Michael Gira is singing? Sure, that'll work.

I've posted an alternative link in the OP for Miss Modular.

Miss Modular is one of Stereolab's frothiest, headiest concoctions - all swirling notes and cool joy. It feels like the first day of spring, light headed and giddy with possibilities. Blur's track is almost the opposite, all bleak dark night of the soul, hiding under the eiderdown in dread. But it's also one of the best things they ever did and contains a genuine power. Coxon's solo is mesmirising in its bleak and wailing expressiveness.

Neither deserve to lose, but one must..A

Stereolab are going for that slight tropicalia sound as well, and they do slight very well. Again, it's kinda pretty, but there's not an awful lot to hang your hat on.

I'm pretty sure I made my thoughts clear on Blur in the previous round. This isn't as atrocious as that, but it's another pathetic wishy-washy retrograde plastic tv commercial jingle of a track.

Well after all that.....

The Stereolab sounded jaunty to stat with but then dissipated into a whole heap of nothing...... pleasant but that's it.

I like a lot of Blur - I also strongly dislike a lot too. This is one of their finest moments - maybe their best, on reflection. It's B all the way here.

I like Stereolab but I always felt that their earlier period hit harder: this one is frothy, smart and pretty, but just a bit forgettable.
And it's up against possibly Blur's finest moment, when they pull their tongues out of their cheeks and produce something stirring and anthemic yet anguished, suggestive and moving, with some of Coxon's greatest work.

Stereolab just bored me. Like Bert Kaempfert noodling with some synthesizers. Neh.
Parklife is at least fun.

I've rarely heard a Stereolab song I don't like.

And I've never heard a Blur song I like. Until now. I really like this one, and I really like A as well.

Best Blur song ever. Fantastic doubled Coxon guitar solo.

I seem to have skipped these and went straight to the final 2 matches. Anyway, this is an excellent match, one of Stereolab’s finest, most sinuous offerings against arguably Blur’s best, still a raging storm of a track. Ace stuff both but it’s
