G n R's turgid regurgitation of classic rock cliches didn't sound good then and it sounds even worse now.
I found B musically atmospheric in a vague film soundtrack-y way, but it was let down by bored and boring sounding vocals. Poor vocals seems to have been a big flaw in the 'shoegazing' genre generally. Overall I liked it though.

B is pretty much all I dislike from this decade. A featureless, ponderous, insipid and pretentious dull-fest.

A though, lord knows, there are so many better tracks from Guns'n'Roses that could have been chosen.

Don't even need to listen to Slowdive, now I have I can hear a fair bit of Mogwai circa Like Herod in it, that's good.
There is no excuse for A

I find it very unlikely that I'm going to vote for a Guns n Roses track that wasn't on Appetite for Destruction, it's almost impressive how that raw unfiltered rock n' roll excess got distilled down to this kind of bland drivel that could've been a Poison song.

Slowdive here sound like they're moping over the top of a Cure 7" played at 33. It's not the kind of thing that should be encouraged, it's a dull, lifeless excretion of a track. But it's not Guns n Roses.

I have friends who really love Slowdive and went to see them last week so I try hard to be enthusiastic. But while they do a nice job of an absorbing production, there isn't much to it beyond a nice sound.
I guess some of Appetite for Destruction could still get me as a guilty pleasure, but this is one of those songs we're all wishing we could have been drawn against.

B is okay enough, but that's really all it needs.

B only kept my interest for about the first half, but that's more than A did.

I realize I'm not a GNR fan, but I can think of at least 5 songs off the top of my head that would beat B. That's just not one of them.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I’d forgotten that GNR song. It’s appallingly bad -that singing!! One of the worst picks so far. Against it is Slowdive playing exactly to type, that gauzy, effects pedal wash that makes Lush seem like Public Enemy. It creates an enjoyably fuzzy blanket when it’s on but it’s never going register as a tune afterwards. Still, give me pleasant sounding in this tie every day of the week.

It'd been a while since i heard A, so i gave it a spin again the other day - i'm pretty sure i visibly winced when Axel started singing. This one is just not for me.
B is nice Slowdive and more than enough here.

I thoroughly hate that nasal whine of Axxxxl and here he shows that there's not enough Otrivin in the world going to cure him off that.
Fortunately I was big on shoegaze at the time so...
