I tend to prefer the more pastoral side of The Aphex Twin as on this. I also dug the scuttling drum n' bass rhythm track. Nice selection.

You either like B or you don't I suppose. You can't hurl any of the usual U2 brickbats at it; it's not bombastic or preachy or any of that, it's just a bit of a dull song for me that never gets to lift off.

Never been a fan of Aphex Twin bookings.

It's not the best U2 track, but it's certainly good enough, and I like the swoopy guitars.

This is AFX at his delicate, playful, inventive and pretty best.
B is also one of the U2 songs I like the best, but that's more like saying it's one of the crisp flavours I like the best, or the episode of Countdown I like the best. It's fine but I wouldn't miss it if it wasn't there.

There's so many better choices on "Achtung Baby" than this.

I suppose A is very well-done for what it is. I just don't much care for what it is.

For all its mega-success and overplayedness, I still think B is one of the better songs from what is at least a contender for U2's best album. I also have great memories of the Zoo TV tour (my ex was - and presumably still is - a massive U2 fan), so for the 2nd time I'm overlooking the predictability factor.

There can't really be a more obvious walk-over than this one. On one hand you've got a superb slice of Aphex Twin at his most elegant and whimsical, with the heavenly chimes underpinned by some skittering beats. I mean, this is the kind of thing where Dicky J absolutely shows his class and leaves the competition miles behind.

On the other hand you've got U2 aspiring to be Primal Scream. I mean, go on lads, aim for the fucking stars.

Can I play my joker on this tie? It seems wrong that people are even allowed to vote for U2 here, let alone actually doing it.

A pretty handily, and I do actually like U2 (though I prefer them with a bit more bombast).

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
