Re: 90s Cup Round 2 Match 9
I didn't come to the 90s cup for bad 80s music (even if it WAS recorded in the 90s, that's what it is).
I don't understand the antipathy for Ben Folds here. He's written some great songs. (OK, this isn't one of them, but it's a lot better than A).
That would be B, with conviction.

What the hell, A?
And I wrote that before the Casio pre-programmed cod reggae beat kicked in.
What the nine circles of fiery, agonising hell, A?
B because I always thought of Ben Folds as one of those people who are good at what they do even though it's not my thing.

This may be the only time I'll vote for Ben Folds in my life. B.

Is A trying to swing the Dutch vote?

The only good thing about A is that will send Darkness Fish into a fit of such dimensions that he will surely self-combust.
B sounds like the school milk monitors formed a band.
ABSTAIN. Stain being the operative word here.

Piano pop.
I don't mind either, and today I'll take kitsch over quirkiness (but I do wonder who committed certain cupicide with Ten Sharp).

Ugh, I've never abstained in a vote but I'm sorely tempted this time.
B, I guess
But please never remind me I've cast a vote for Ben Folds

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Ben Folds is a little ridiculous, but I didn't make it a minute into A.
So it's
B.
So it's
B.

I don't know what moddie's on about, this is the first time I can recall a song in a cup making me actually smile this wide. I don't know how I missed that Michael Bolton, Simply Red, and Curiosity Killed the Cat formed a supergroup and entered Eurovision... There's a charity shop in hell, and even that's refusing to stock this.
And Ben Folds Five, Jesus Christ. I'm going to have to vote for this shit, which would have lost the tie if the other person hadn't supplied a track. This is worse than the horror of the service-station new-age dance-off tie.

B for pretty much the same reasons as above
