A for sheer virtue of not being Nirvana, and because it's an actual great track. Fuck B.

A is pleasant enough but doesn't actually go anywhere, does it?

I like Nirvana generally (heresy I know) and "All Apologies" is one of their better moments. B it is.

This, pretty much.

Kozelek should lay off the Pr*zac and listen to more comedy records.

B for me too, though I'd be more enthusiastic if it were a slightly "deeper" Nirvana cut.

I like both of these but generally agree with the gentlemen above: Kozelek is capable of moments of beauty and is never less than pleasant, I just wish it weren't all so... ponderous.
B isn't one of Nirvana's most exciting moments nor a personal favourite, but it is another example of something just being a good, solid rock song.

A. I would take a bullet to head before I would vote Nirvana over Red House Painters.

Mark Kozelek seems now to perform nothing but 12 minute long semi rapped, semi drawled extemporisations on the minutiae of his life and his various grudges. This is when he was singing “proper”songs. I think I like him better now. Against that, this ?Nirvana song sounds full of colour and vibrancy, which is odd as I recall it as being grey and flat. Anyway, it wins

Those Painter-discs on 4AD have travelled with me for a long time. And I do like Nirvana...but this is easy.

Good match. Like A, but like B more.

The Nirvana hatred is amusing; i'm not a big fan myself, but it's funny how emotional some buttons make people.

A gives a capsule demonstration of much of the problem with contemporary music ( not that A is contemporary exactly, but it's typical of something that came in in the 90s and is very much around now) - the wrapping paper looks very nice but when you open the parcel there's not much there. So whilst it wafted by fairly pleasantly, there was no strong emotion or drama in the song to really engage you. B is one of Nirvana's better songs and has a conviction lacking in A.

I do have time for Kozelek, but that track leaves me cold.

B is overplayed but I still like it.
