The Beck track is fun but feels slight. I wonder what the point of it is as its like a parody of funkiness.
I was really into B back in the day, but its a long time since I've heard it. I think Underworld were a bit limited to be honest, but I would just give it the edge here.

A you've heard all you need in the first 15 seconds.
B you have more to hear but at 9 minutes it is painfully overlong, but just about smeaks it.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

B is not my 90s. A kinda sorta almost is. There were certainly many far worse indie success stories.
I feel like I'm doing a lot of damning with faint praise this round.

I really like Beck but A isn't one of his finer moments. B is superb though.

'The New Pollution'. 'Where It's At'. 'Nobody's Fault But Mine'. 'Sexx Laws'. 'Devil's Haircut'. 'Jackass'. 'Loser'.
There are some good '90s Beck songs.
B although I never really dug Underworld that much. They never really convinced me that there was any substance to what they were doing.

Re: 90s Cup Round 1 Match 9
I'm tempted to abstain as neither comes anywhere near my nineties.
Midnite Vultures with its faux funkiness is my least favourite Beck album ever.
But Underworld leaves me even colder.
A, just.

Underworld are an odd band, capable of sublime, euphoric moments and capable of interminable tedium. This edges towards the latter. Midnite Vultures remains a gas of a record and Mixed Bizness is tonnes of fun.
