I don't know much about A, but I enjoyed it. It had a certain invigorating quality. It hardly pushes the envelope, but it's very decent mainstream US indie. I got bored with B fairly quickly, sometimes experimentation on its own isn't enough.

Christ........... A could be any band any day any year any place... just nothing exceptional in any phase.

B sounds like Portishead at half spped but just about edges it.

There's a certain bravery in choosing a track as odd as B here. I mean, I love Crescent more than anyone here, but Electronic Sound Constructions is more an odd solo album of experiments than anything.

So I would have to hear something great to vote against an odd Crescent track, as they still have that great sense of atmosphere and space. Built to Spill aren't great. Perhaps good for a 90s cup, as they do sound very much like a 90s band. But it's all very generic.

B. Easily.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Anything called "Electronic Sound Constructions" without irony has already list me. I hear no irony.

I've heard some BTS I've liked, but A just kind of sits there. But it doesn't actively irritate, so I'm this context, it's plenty.

I liked A, it's a pretty good tune even if I agree with the comments about it feeling pretty pedestrian in sound. I really like where B goes with regards to its mood, it catches my ear a little more.

B gets blocked in my part of the world, but judging by other Crescent tracks on YouTube, it doesn't matter.

I've heard quite a bit of BTS and they always make a pleasing and appealing sound without ever being involving, moving or exciting. Perfectly listenable, and one can hear the influence of Television, for instance, in the guitar interplay, but I just can't imagine getting thrilled at the prospect of buying their new album or seeing them live. In that regard there's not really a hell of a lot of difference between them and, say, Coldplay, is there?
I've heard one or two Crescent things that were interesting but this isn't among them. Aimless introversion.

Built to Spill are one of those bands that used to be mentioned regularly in music press dispatches but I never heard. Perhaps it’s my loss as I fairly enjoyed that. B is a punctuation of track, hardly there.
