I suspect - in fact, from a perusal of the lists posted tonight, I know there’s going to be a boatload of pretentious noodly/noisy bollocks in this Cup, so I came to bury B not praise it. However, it actually won me over and gets the nod over A, which really should’ve been Things That Make You Go Hmm.

B is very pretty, but it doesn't go anywhere.
I'm for the populist vote.

A is cheesy fun but B is one of the greatest songs ever made.

Neither of these are exactly in my wheelhouse, but I suppose B is at least mildly interesting. A makes me wonder when Googa came back.

Re: 90s Cup Round 1 Match 3
I like that A has gone for something brazenly commercial, I just wish I like their choice better. This feels lumpen and a bit of a slog these days, it doesn't exactly have me dying to get on the dancefloor.
B was pretty, but skirted that divide between minimal and repetitious and in the end fell into the wrong half. I quite liked it, but its too unassuming and tasteful for its own good. Still..

A is the kind of dance music I abhor.
B is little more than pretty, and pretty forgettable at that, but it gets my vote.

Re: 90s Cup Round 1 Match 3
There was a lot of great commercial dance music around early in the ’90s so why pick A instead?
B is very pleasant though it feels more like a filler than a fully-developed piece.

Re: 90s Cup Round 1 Match 3
I've never minded A, but was never crazy about it either. There's not much to B other than the atmospheric keyboards -- didn't even need the added percussion -- but it do like some good trancey stuff like this.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
