Well, I'd never heard of "Ratcat" before, and I wish it had stayed that way.

Ah, old Ratcat. Brings a nostalgic smile to my face, and naturally copping a BCB hammering. I love A and almost picked it myself - one of my faves from the album - but i'm giving B my sympathy vote.

Ranking Ted wrote:I vaguely recall Ratcat from the time but couldn’t name you a song. There’s a generic 90s Fountains Of Wayne, theme from Friends type perkiness there. Whatever, it’s completely outclassed by a song from one of the latter half of the decade’s finest LPs, the very ace Bled White.

There's two T's in "Elliott", A. I can't let such basic errors go unpunished.

First listen to either for me too and I thought exactly the same.

I liked A a little more though

Abstain.

Didn't like either of them one bit.

Oh, Elliot Smith is boring, isn't he? Here he's Bon Iver doing Dodgy.

Ratcat didn't exactly set this comp alive either, wanting to be The Rembrandts isn't an admirable ambition. But it's not fair that they get crushed by the equally bland smudger.

Didn't particularly care for either, heard Elliott Smith songs that I much prefer to that chosen.

Ratcat were new to me & though I'd never purposely play it again, its pop playfulness just edged it.

Ratcat- we've been playing that greatest hts in our store the last week or so. It's good fun.
Elliott's track is not a bad one either but gotta support local on this one.

Fuck me A, well done picking the worst song on XO.

Still, Ratcat.
