Apologies to B but I've never been fond of SAHB.

A is a beautiful song to hear on a Sunday morning, any day or time of the day really...
Nonsense to the aggressiveness, I've seen more aggression on the my little pony message board......I mean I was told.

A does manage to make an abysmal original (certainly one of the worst chart hits from my teens) less offensive.

But Alex brings perfect theatrics abnd OTT emotions to the poignant Brel song - a 100 times better than Scott Walker's "blasé Brit" version.

Gotta go with B here - it's just so odd. I'm not even quite sure what he's up to here, but he certainly doesn't do it halfway.

I know exactly what A's up to, and while it's just fine, I don't think the song really needs the revisionism, nor do I think he does anything with it other that just Picketting.

A is an embarrassment that I wished WP had never recorded, awful without redemption. And B is fantastic.

Wilson sleepwalks his way through A and can't really rid it of its inherent naffness.

Still, I'd rather listen to Wilson sleepwalking than B, which was just crap.

I absolutely, sincerely love the original of "Sugar Sugar", I consider it to be one of those rare songs which are the very definition of pop. Wilson's not improving upon that, unsurprisingly, but I also suspect that I'm going to fucking loathe whatever Alex Harvey does to whatever that song is.

Ah, fuck, it's Brel's "Au suivant". Having no talent but a sense of the dramatic, you can see why Harvey would do this, he can be as loud and fucking irritating as possible, by just copying Brel's original performances. Really, as I've recently stated elsewhere on this site, I can't see any justification for SAHB's critical kudos, I'd rather listen to fucking Wings than this, it's a disgrace.

A

Scott Walker's version of the other is better
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

SAHB in one of their finest moments. Even Pickett can't scream his way past Alex at his prime.
