Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

The writing credit on A says Mariott/Lane. We know it's not, of course, but I'm crying foul nonetheless. Nothing that impressive about it otherwise anyway.

B is annoying and unpleasant, but at least it's a true cover. A disemboweling, maybe even. I approve of those, even if I don't care for this one.

Didn't make it more than two minutes into either. A is just bellowy rubbish while B is amusing in a deconstructed Flying Lizards kind of way, but not for long.

A was obviously a cover of Muddy Waters song whatever the credits say, so I'm happy to vote for it. It's attack and energy are great, even if what it unleashed in Marriot's and others (hello Bob) careers were less welcome.
The Butthole Surfers were always rubbish and they don't disappoint here.

I prefer The Small Faces after they changed label and drugs.

I liked B. Not that I intend to play it again, mind.

There's a lot of energy and passion gone into A, it's just a disappointment that it's a blues stomper that sounds like all other blues stompers. I'm not sure how you plagiarise something that sounds so generic.

B sounds very much of it's time, how dated is that drum sound? It's a sprawling mess of a cover that probably goes on too long, but it's just that bit more interesting than A.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

a- I like the Small Faces, but you should never let mods near black music. They just don't get it. Nah, this is crap. 2 / 10
b - The Butties don't do pleasant, but every now and then I like them. Never heard the original by the Guess Who, a band I always avoided, and I don't really care to now. It does not matter, as Gibby never worried about the hang of his trousers, and for that alone, it's a winner. 5 / 10
