Covers Cup- MACHUKI WINS- WE WILL NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT!

Postby never/ever » 23 Sep 2017, 23:05

20 players, so there will be two groups of ten.
I need nine tracks each! Please send it like this:

Puddles Pity Party - Dancing Queen (Abba)
[youtube]qkaAmfgJ60w[/youtube <--- leave last bracket off.

Either pm me here or send your list to [email protected]

I want to start this on Sunday October 1 so if I can have your lists by then?

As per the discussion on the YY-thread: Genuine cover versions only, any genre. No songs that contain original samples off tracks and original content (like certain rap-tracks) as they are no genuine covers.

Up and at it!

How long will each match go for, Maarts? The usual 1 week?

Yes. Sorry, hadn't been able to put that up, had to rush off to work.
One week to vote on the round. Second round will be up Wednesday!

I'll miss a couple rounds at least for holiday reasons (Red Sea Oct 12 to Oct 26). Shame. :(

I do hope someone's put in a list entirely composed of songs by Led Zeppelin.

I’ve been remembering a few, and heard one on TV today I would’ve used if I’d thought of it.

Oh well, there’s always next year.

So, have we given up on pointing out the original? I've been baffled by about half of the pics this round, and I note that although I supplied the info for all of mine, it was missing in my round 2 pick also. I'm not really grumbling, but it does blast any hope I've got of comparing things to the original if I have to scroll down the comments to get a clue.

Only a few people did add the name of the original interpreter to their entry and I honestly didn't have the time to research the rest

I heard about something called a "google" which is supposed to be quite handy.

Not your job, m.

Remember the old days when some people didn’t supply YT links? Tough on them.

Get to it cup boy, post those lists. You can heat up that pot noodle afterwards. :)

We've been trying! There are more posts on that thread about the lack of updates than there are about the actual films!
