Not really keen about any of these two. I feel some sympathy for good ol' Freddy, but these Spanish translations usually get on my tits. Sorry A

Nothing against B, but I'm surprised at the lack of love for A. I think Freddie was a national treasure. Rocks like a mo-fo, he sings the hell out of it, and for good measure, the rhythm guitar sounds like the Velvets. What's not to love?

Both good tunes without hitting it out of the park for me, but the dirty guitars on the Freddy cut clinch it.

a - Not exactly original – it's Rip it Up, isn't it? - and I'm less impressed with the guitaring than some – would have preferred some more sting. Not wildly impressed with the vocals, either. Hm, 5 / 10
b - That's more the trebly sound I associate with rockabilly. Just the right amount of echo on the voice. Again, it's very reminiscent of several other songs. Rhythm section reminds me of the Crickets for no reason I can put my finger on. Not earth-shattering, but good enough to win here. 6 / 10
