There are other Cochran songs. Not a lot, granted, but definitely some more worth picking on every level.
B is nothing great, but took some thought.

. Got Jimi's autograph after the show and went on to see him several times that year

Obviously A is not the most imaginative pick in this cup. I love it of course, but it wouldn't get my vote against a reasonably good contender. Luckily for A, it's not the case.

Tempted not to vote for A because it's a bit obvious and I've heard it a lot. But I don't like B and his precious hairstyle. And really, when it comes down to it, A is just so good.

B just isn't good enough to take the Cochran classic. A

A is an undeniable classic. B isn't.

Ooof. Hard match to be B - I like it, but just not enough.

Re: R&R Cup '17 - Rnd.5, Match 5
a - nice obscure number from an up-and-coming singer-songrwriter-guitarist. Just listen to the rhythm on this though, all hand claps and strum. So much great rock & roll is drumless. This vid finishes a bit sharply, but hey, its a classic for a reason. This, and Jerry Keller's Here Comes Summer, evoke simpler times for me 7.5 / 10
b - self-bowdlerisation. That's a Duck's Arse you got on your head, you fat-faced fool. A 'song' about fashion and a style that attempts to hitch a ride on Elvis's coat-tails without benefit of Sun studios. The ending goes for cute, and misses by a few leagues. Nah, obscure for a reason 5 / 10
All the way

B's got a good rockabilly groove, but it's pretty disposable as a song.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
