Good grief people really have been digging inside their rarities boxes in the finals, nary a Sab or a Maiden to be seen all is obscure but at least all is loud
B because it is happier loudness.

A is kind of awesome! As I've said before, synthesizer music that treats it as the fun toy that it is instead of a harbinger of doom and gloom is more likely to be welcome in my world. Nice pick!
B is, let's charitably say, "of its time."

You never heard it blasting out at an indie disco in the 80s then

I saw them and Brainiac open for the Jesus Lizard and I was like "What's with the noisy synth bands"? It was a big year for that, evidently.

The way you worded it I thought you were referring to the Finals in general.
And I'm still not sure which song you mean.

It was a comment on the finals in general.
Either the people posting golden age metal all got kicked out or people decided to go obscure like the BCB Cup in the final.
The fear of being obvious or liking something popular with the general public is strong on here

Re: BCB Loud Cup Final Round 5
You know I totally meant to have at least one AC/DC song in the finals... I was thinking about it on the way home from work and forgot to replace one of the other picks with it. Oh well. I was going to pick "Shake A Leg." Any time you see a track that seems unbeatable, imagine me playing that against it.

What a strangely perfect match. Both are really not my definition of loud, but both are a pleasant surprise here AND are songs I really like.

Hmm, one of my pet-peeves has been that post-punk revivalists always tend to go down the Joy Division route, rather than going for a take on early Tuxedomoon, or the San Franciscan synthpunk thing. And it turns out that at least one band tried it, and I didn't notice. It's certainly louder, more inventive, and less shit than that Colourbox track, who otherwise are a band who I don't mind.

I really like both of these, and they sound good together.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
