i've never heard that strawbs track, and i love it. it's true. however, it goes against one of my all-time fave gabriel-era genesis tracks. killer, killer track. makes my fluffy hairless heart ready for... a cigarette or a shower or some damn thing. coughcough.

Why? Because it's from one of the greatest albums ever made. That's why.

OK this is a tough one. Both worthy pieces of music. I will go with the Strawbs - but it is close, cos if I dwell on it some more I might change my mind and say the Genesis track. But then I might change my mind again so I can only say that I am 100% certain that I am not sure.

As C would say, The Lamb Lies Down is in my DNA! Back in NYC is a key song on the album and was a departure from what Genesis had done before musically. Simply I cannot vote against!

The Strawbs track is magnificent with some vigorous guitar playing. Now, if it had been lined up against Supper's Ready ........... ;)

Strawbs, the sixth greatest band that ever walked the planet.

A great track selection - an astonishingly robust track!

So difficult- that Strawbs-track is gorgeous! But to put that up against one of my fave Genesis-tracks is cruelty beyond belief.....

Or any Genesis really after the first three. Heresy around these parts I know.

The toughest match of round 2: top notch Strawbs vs a gritty piece of Genesis. I prefer Back in NYC in the context of the album while Down By The Sea sounds majestic whenever I hear it so a vote for A it is.

Sorry, I've not had a chance to hear the Strawbs track yet. I know I like the Genesis one. I'll try and do it tonight but don't wait for me if you want to get the scores up.

i would have yew know that i almost voted against my own damn self, just cuz i loved that strawbs track so much. i'm not kidding. what is it from?

besides, fear not the current standings. i can say in all honesty that i do believe i have already hit my two wins, scant as they were. i have hit my sophomore album peak, and it's gonna get ugly for me from here on out (unless i have the phenomenal good luck to get matched against hollaback girl. and even then... )
