Theme.... is just one of just a handful of Mountain tracks I like. A stately track that builds nicely with some fine guitar.

The Budgie sounds like early metal (from the pretty heavy In For The Kill album I think) with a typically bizarre Budgie song title. Doesn't really have the same impact as something like Paranoid or their own Breadfan.

I think Mountain just edges this one.

That Mountain-track is a bit too long- and the Budgie reminds me that sometimes brevity is a virtue. Straight up and down, between yer eyes....just what I need tonight!

Not my favourite version of "Imaginary Western". Bit of a dirge. Give me Bruce's original or even Colosseum anyday. And that Budgie track doesn't do much for me either.

Oh dear, 2nd match and I'm doing a Carlsson:-

Wow - a very tough round.

I adore them both.

It would be very difficult to vote against either

But...

i happen to be a certified budgiefan... which makes me the only chickarina i know of personally who fits this description. (is belle or loki a budgiefan?) the only trouble is that i am a freak for imaginary western. maybe it's kinda like clapton's let it grow. i can see why folk would find it too slow or repetitive, especially from a gweetar crankin guy... but to me, it's hypnotic and moving. tomato, tahmaytah.

by the way: so far, this match gets the strange bedfellows award. mwhaha.

Not a very inspiring match up, in my opinion. I'll confess that the only thing I've ever heard of Mountain is Nantucket Sleighride. I don't think I've been missing much, this plods along monotonously.

Budgie are an old fave, and bring happy memories, though the choice is less than affecting. It does, however, get my vote.
