A. Godbluff is one of the greatest prog albums I've ever heard.

I can't manage nearly ten minutes of A; don't get it. I like that baroque keyboard Stranglers thing, it's a sharp track and I'm surprisingly into the tanks.

apparently Jamal Khashoggi had the choice of being tortured and killed then dismembered, or listening to 'Arrow' by Van Der Graaf Generator

A is just an infernal racket, really. Should be an easy win for B

I'm not entirely sure why anyone would choose that Stranglers track but, hey, who gives a fuck?

B because I hope whoever chose A is in detention tomorrow.

I like Godbluff and I like it quite a bit. But, part of what I like about it is that it's sort of demanding.
the Stranglers track just makes me want to bob my head for 3 minutes. I'm a head bobber from way back.

not a huge Stranglers fan, but I'll go with the straightforward nature of the track...Vote B..

I wasn't minding the VDG too much, but that horrible, declamatory vocal destroyed any good will I had towards it.

The muscularity of the playing can't hide the fact that The Stranglers have written a crap song here. B's got very lucky with this draw...and to think of the incredibly tough draws I've been getting!

A Prog. Hammill. It's my duty to vote for it.

Not the songs I would pick by either band and I'm a fan of both.

Just, I mean, ten minutes of that other? Oy.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I've never really warmed to the Stranglers beyond the singles which I typically love, and this track didn't do much to change that opinion.

VdGG's shouty vocals leave a lot to be desired but I liked the instrumental element of the track although it's certainly at the challenging end of the scale.

I know I should like The Stranglers, being very close to some music I love, but for some reason I never really warmed to their output. B is not bad, even fine, but doesn't say a lot to me. And I did like the VDGG track, very much of them, prog without instrumental exhibitionism. So

A it is.
Nobody's ferpect.
