Another good match.
The only tune in A that makes me shake my head is the Beck, as i'm not much of a fan. Why not some authentic Tropicalia? The rest is ok to great, with the JBs and Pretties real highlights.
B has a few more surprises but is still engagingly solid. That Kate Bush sits a bit uneasily in the mix, but it's an ok tune. Fine Impressions, and that Moore is a great pick. Nice. Fine Van, and great to see some fun Kirk, nice. The Bettye is a thumbs-up pick, a different version to the one i know but no complaints, rockin and soulful. Lots to enjoy, but B gets ahead here.

Same as Match 1 - B takes more chances, but for me it's A.

List A - more box-checking that works for me. Another great Pretty Things song, too.
List B - more stuff that sounds fine to my ears but does not excite me.

Some solid stuff on A without a doubt - there's not much 60s Pretties I wouldn't approve of, certainly - but it also plays it safer.

B is more hit-and-miss, but goes more interesting places. The Jerry Moore track is a particular revelation.

Not thrilled by either but I think B is better.
The Kate Bush track is unimpeachable and a nice version too.

I also liked Jerry Moore a lot - and I confess I'd never heard of him before so that's nice.

From list A I like The Dukes but this track is a little bland compared to a lot of their stuff (I'm thinking of the fun tracks where they let John Leckie off the leash). The JB's is great of course and I liked the Pretty Things track but

B is better.

I think I might know who A is, as he's picked Crenshaw before, and got panned for it in some quarters IIRC, but I like it and the Dukes of Stratosphear is a great pick. Not a lot wrong with the rest but ultimately I think I prefer B. Some good lesser known tracks. As has been said the Jerry Moore is a cracker and I like the mellowed down powerpop of Fauna Flora. May just come down to the soul picks and B's Impressions and Bettye are absolutely top tier and beat A''s perfectly fine but a tad rote funk.

A

Love the Marshall Crenshaw track and the Dukes the Bad Seeds not so much

B has the standard cup pick of the Impressions but I did quite like the Fauna Flora track

Hits and misses on both as usual but A is going to take this one for me, Crenshaw, Dukes, Pretties, and Critters. I did like the Jerry Moore and Fauna Flora on B.

At first glance, I thought A would walk away with it (for my vote). It has three tracks I love and the other artists are 'my kind of thing'. But I found I really liked a lot of B and if I hadn't hated the Roland Kirk so much it could have won.

But A still gets it.
Bugger off.

I really enjoyed the flow of List A, it made for a very good playlist. I liked every track but notable highlights included The Grunt, Vanishing Girl, Mr. Dieingly Sad and The Sun.

B has some very strong individual tracks from Kate Bush, Jerry Moore, Roland Kirk and Bettye Lavette but some of the other picks didn't make much impression.

Lordy.

A is strictly Grade 3 Fontwell Park Maiden territory. Desperate to shine on debut but ultimately pulled up due to lack of stamina and quality.

B is the last race on the card at Exeter featuring Clydesdale horses (yes it actually happened). Nasty, brutish and overlong, hampered by an alarming lack of stewardship and class.

A is closer to my own tastes with fave JBs, Dukes, Beck and Pretties tunes, but although B is less familiar, there are some very pleasant surprises - I keep meaning to check out more of Van's Bang material, the Kate Bush and Impressions tracks are strong and individual too. Nice choices.

Tough choice but I feel

B

deserves the vote more

Two enjoyable lists.
A seems more consistent and keeps the vibe flowing. Smart Pretties pick. B is a little more hit and miss, but perhaps has higher highs. It's played an ace card ending with that Lavette track. Well it's worked on me anyway!

Beck, XTC side-projects and JBs disqualify A. B has some clunkers, but if I can find a peg commodious enough for my hooter, vote
