Oh, and yes - thanks Martha! Stellar job, particularly putting up with all the gripey posters.

Thanks Dave. I think we might have room for Rock and Roll/Rockabilly cup at some stage, a rich seam we don't get to explore much here.

And one of my aliases would be the second, especially if we included 50s R&B.

Neither's my favourite list, by far - I'll give it to A for Todd and for including the only new and cool discovery (Heron Oblivion).

B has a great Johnny Thunders track. But all in all it also has some dreck (Pogues). Yes, I think it has more stuff I dislike. And also, A has got Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter, which I’ve suddenly gone nuts for. It’s a bitchin piece of tunage. So,

A

This completes the voting from the Further Spanish jury in this year’s BCB Cup. Thanks to Martha for organizing!

Rock’n’roll/rockabilly cup – YES.

I'm actually more forgving of "canonism" especially when the choice of track reveals an obviously personal choice, So while I crave something new and not just new for the sake of it, I can still get with a list of familiar artists. The sort of thing that does wind me up evens out here with She's About A Mover and THe Bottle, when for each there's a wealth of less obvious tracks, equally great for both artists. At the end of the day A is just that bit more in tune with my taste.

B has some certfiably great stuff (Love, Peebles, Impressions) but Souls of Mischief still sounds like rap by numbers and I hated the Robyn clip (yes I know i keep banging on about pop music, but you know what's great pop music ? I Know I'm Not Wrong that's what - and Tusk IS better than Rumours). Even if it was still close the clincher for A is the one WOW track here which is that great Nina Simone choice.

A

I've triple counted I'm sure that's the final toll.

A = 19
B = 20

B is the winner (by a nose hair).

A was Mike Boom.
