B knows it's stuff - great Prince pick - plus it doesn't have the Butthole Surfers..

With one of my favourite Prince songs, and a lovely Pogues' number, as well as the tried-and-tested Can, SFA and Love, it has to be B

but it's close (I fucking hate the Rezillos, and A has my fave Bowie track)

Both lists had great new tracks, so I'm going to go with B, who had more I liked in the previous batch.

To be honest, B is more like my iPod than my own list.

Easy B.

Yeah, A almost lost me with that ugly, unpleasant BH Surfers track. Fortunately, they made up for it with a great Nesmith track and that marvelous Joyce Green one. I love me some wild rockabilly wimmins.

That is a great Prince track, but it's also one of my least favorite Pogues tracks.

I have to say, though, all the quarter-finalists are pretty evenly matched. No perfect lists, but no embarrassing ones either.

Strong lists, well done to both.
I love the 50's rock 'n roll and R&B on A, a BCB blindspot in general. Good to see the D. Spinners in A, but B counters with a nice (if a little safe) Albert King '60s blues cut. Both try to stretch a bit in terms of styles, but overall I think B has the better mix of songs for me ('Golden Years' notwithstanding). Fine Prince choice to close.

A to spare me The Pogues.
Nonsense to the aggressiveness, I've seen more aggression on the my little pony message board......I mean I was told.

A has added some terrible tracks to what was an almost interesting list, whereas B has added some terrible tracks to what was an almost interesting list.

I think I have to vote based on the earlier tracks, rather than the new ones, and Eric B, The Misfits and DAF are nudging A over the line.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Two fine lists but B has a bit more variety.
