This one goes to A. Very nice to see Margie J in the Cup.

Both lists a little patchy for me, but, for the addition of the Skatalites and Gene, and the fact that it already includes a supremely great George Michael pick

Poor new 5 from A. The Margie Joseph track is kind of unremarkable. I think if you’re going to use vintage soul at this point it has to be something special, which this isn’t. That Gene effort is mutton dressed as lamb.

A=15 B=13. A wins.
A will go through to the next round. Please send me your next 5 tracks if you have not yet done so, thank you.
B was Loki. That sucks! From the first page I thought you had this thing. *hug*

Oh, how awful
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Wot no Danzig?
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

I was going to vote for your list, Loki, but then you would have lost by only one vote, which would have been worse. So...you're welcome?

Quite a few people didn't vote. I guess we'll never know what could have been.

I still think it would have been better if the matches for each round had been staggered over the course of a week or so, so that there would have still been the same amount of time to vote for each list, but overall we would have more time to listen and judge the lists. Like three matches one day, three more two days later, etc.
