I like A's most recent five a lot, and it improves on an already very good list.
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

Ooh, A's got the idea, take a fairly mundane list and add a bit of quality and variety. I still wish Heron Oblivion hadn't hired the gonk from Comets on Fire to wank his guitar everywhere, but I guess it would just be Meg Baird otherwise. Which would be a better thing.

B gets it wrong from start to finish.

welllll i love *both* lists. loved em in round 1. this is a very tough call for me. the additions are very good overall. i love that talk talk track, the cocteaus, the gweetar in heron oblivion, the surprise of the melanie track, one i've loved since i was a wee wenchetta. i also love the nick drake, tom waits (oh yeah) and irma tracks on the second list. the gilberto gil is nice.

i wanna see where both keep going. sniff.

ah well. there can be only one. apologies to B.

Despite the utter drivel of that Heron abomination I'm going for A. Whats with all the Stereolab nonsense? Mystifying.

A was really hitting a lot of my pleasure centers with Laura Nyro, Nilsson, Tommy James, Fleetwood Mac, etc. I thought this was bound to be my favorite to win.

But B, in addition to giving some interesting, rhythmic, and unfamiliar music on the first ten tracks, absolutely hit it out of the park with the five new ones.

My vote goes to B.

Love the Laura Nyro - new one to me - and I think A just about gets there. Close match.

I was a little bit suspicious of B first time round as it seemed to be going for the eclectic Funky Bunch vote without really pulling out the goods, and now it has retreated back into the BCB Cup Safety Zone.
A is solid if unspectacular. I could happily stick it on in the car or while cooking.

B brought their A game ( ) for the new ones, and has done enough to make up for the Feelies.

A is still good, but lost a few yards with the new ones. I wouldn't be too upset whichever of these advances.

Like a lot of both, but edging towards A though they need reminding that Sir Doug did record more than one song.
