Nice choices again.
I think B edges it 'cos there are a handful (Love, SFA, Springfield, Can) I would die for, and I can't say the same for anything in A's list - as good as it is overall.

List A:
Ballad of a Thin Man – Bob Dylan - Nice live clip! Bob and his band are really on fire!
Xmas Trip – Run On - Love it!
Wakafrika – Manu Dibango - Splendid!
Emusified – Rex Gravin and the Mighty Carvers -
Great Jones Street – Luna -
This Time Tomorrow – The Kinks - Ray Davies. Such a great songwriter. Too bad his voice keeps me from listening to the Kinks as often as I ought to.
Underwear – Pulp - A band I've neglected to explore in depth for far too long.
Feed the Tree – Belly -
Broken Record – The Creamers - The first merely 'meh' track on this list.
Sunstroke/Mind Train – Sun Dial - Good for driving at night, I imagine. Has some adrenaline-drenched moments.
List B:
Elvis Presley- King Creole - A performance clip. Both these lists are working from the same playbook.
Ann Peebles- I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down -
Love- Seven and Seven Is - Mr. Green is reserved for the ones that really light me up.
Tribe Called Quest- We The People - I wish I could explain why some hip-hop hits me just right and some doesn't. I think it's the fuzz bass and soft piano here.
Lee Perry & The Upsetters- Croaking Lizard - The Indescribable Super Ape!
Can- Vitamin C - They were so far ahead of their time.
Super Furry Animals- Ice Hockey Hair - Had to listen to this on Spotify.
Donna Summer- State of Independence - This is the clunker so far. I'd prefer her MacArthur Park over this.
John Holt & the Paragons- I've Got to Get Away (Man Next Door) -
Buffalo Springfield- Expecting to Fly -
Hmmm...two great lists. Let me think and consider...

Neither exactly reaching out for the shock of the new here. List A has apparently put a little more thought in, and that Luna track is surprisingly lovely.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Two very good lists, but B has more of a sense of "BCB-approved ecelecticism." Even though A takes a sizable dip in the middle, it goes to more interesting places. (Really dig that Sun Dial - all several hours of it! )

Re: BCB CUP 2017 - Round 1 Match 13
B is solid and I would enjoy it as a playlist. In fact I did enjoy it as a playlist when it was entered four times in the BCB Cup 2007, twice in 2008 and again in 2010, 2011 and 2014.
A reaches out more, though it doesn't always grab hold of something. I liked Rex Garvin and the Creamers, though not so much Run On.
