First half of List A was a snorefest until I got to Magic Dice and my immediate thought was "what the fuck?" After that the rest of the songs were pretty cool and unique.

I wasn't blown away by the Trembling Bells song but I like the video with its Wicker Man and ISB influences enough to want to find out more about this band.

Both lists are a mixed bag but I'll give it to A simply for its descent into cool weirdness in the second half.

Despite the magnificence of the bongolian in list B, I can't vote for any list that includes the lemon twigs.

The Lemon Twigs??? Twats.
A by a considerable distance. My fave list so far. Gotta love El Vez.

Probably B. A bit bewildering.

A has some good tunes (El Vez is an inspired choice), but B is more interesting!

So B (for Trembling Bells, Lemon Twigs and the Bongolian, and in spite of the Hummingbirds)

I think I'll steer well clear of whatever the hell it is these guys have been smoking.

A is bonkers. Most of it is rubbish, but then most of B is rubbish too, in a more mundane kind of way. How can a band called The Mutants be that boring?

A is tedious BCB-core, until half-way through when it goes all over the place, which I appreciate, but it doesn't actually go near anything remotely decent. The burbling in the background of the Mort Garson track is almost "I Feel Love" underwater, but the rest of the track is awful.

The Montecristos sound like what would happen if Suicide had their taste-buds replaced and did hair-metal. Trembling Bells and Baltic Fleet are the closest either list gets to music, though the rest of the list is almost as tame as the irredeemable Match 1 in this Cup.

B. Just about.

Both of these lists have wonderful highs and excruciating lows.

Both of these are mixed bags for me; some I like (Pilgrims, Rifles, Roky, Baltic), others have me scratching my head.

B by a whisker.
