Neither really my thing - don't like the Igloothingy on A and struggling with B as well.

A, just.

A has made an attempt at freshness at least.

List A:
William Tyler - Gone Clear - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHzr4rJ9guA : ** 1/2. First listen; I could grow to like this more.
Kid606 - I Miss You - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpg0ubUPnLg : * 1/2 Pleasant, but nothing really caught my ear much.
Iglooghost - Xiangjiao - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qocGLpVFS0w : * Ok, but not really my thing. = 5

List B:
The Night Watch - King Crimson- - https://youtu.be/WwFYy_Th7BA : *** A good KC choice for this comp.
Duet Solo Dancers - Charles Mingus - https://youtu.be/ZtX-M1bOCKI : ***1/2. Super stuff.
Ceremony - New Order - https://youtu.be/fi33-cITS0s : ***1/2. Still sounds wonderful.

I like that A has gone outside the usual suspects and given us newer artists and tunes ... unfortunately, they didn't click with me as much. B is like a big bowl of fruit muesli, and right now it's hitting the spot. Later may be a different story.

The compiler of list A, I'm sure, could make a great playlist for driving or meditating. But I'm not grabbed enough by any of these tracks to give it the nod.

The King Crimson has a great solo, but it takes three minutes to get there. The Mingus and New Order tracks are great.

A is certainly interesting, but unfortunately not a grabber at 8:30am (that's on me, I know)

Also, it's up against two tracks that I absolutely love, and a great Mingus tune.

Well, I can sure guess who made the first list. I'd have loved to have heard the full ten tracks, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Never heard of William Tyler, but he's doing some very Basho & Fahey things there, which is good. Wish someone would come along who sung like Basho, too. I've got that Kid 606 album, I've not heard it in ages. Think I prefered his breakbeat thangs. I like the Iglooghost thing, reminds me a bit of the old Tigerbeat6 stuff like DAT politics, but not as annoying.

List B is almost cheating, it's picked King Crimson to get the vote of the elderly and infirm, and also picked one of the greatest songs ever recorded, in "Ceremony" so it even gets the votes of the anti-prog crowd. Shameful tactic. Hard to vote against Mingus, really, too.

But it doesn't seem like I'd find anything new and interesting from B, so I'm going for A.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.
