WANKERS
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

That's the spirit! Although maybe wait until we've eliminated your Cup List first...like next Sunday....

Out in the first round again, and I even picked some tracks with a tune this time. You bunch of absolute bastards.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

I think blaming Russian hackers for defeat will be big this year.

It started too early. I'd have joined this year.

I'm surprised by the hatred of Franz Ferdinand. That was good pick.

Thank you I was surprised as well. I happen to really love that track.

Totally slaughtered in the first round. Cloth eared cunts. Sorry my list was "weird" and that I only picked "good" instead of "great" Dylan and EWF.
Actually I've got no idea what made my list "weird". Sorry I got the link for The Human League wrong, 15 posts somehow missed that fact. Wonder why?
Thanks to Martha for doing a stellar job this year.

You didn't get as much of a kicking as me, at least. Which track did you mean to pick, btw, Human League or Heaven 17? Wouldn't have changed my vote, either track would've been the best from your list for me. Though the NIN wasn't bad.

Just as well, my heart wasn't in it this year. I would, however, be grateful to anyone who would be kind enough to explain what 'theme' they thought I was going for. Looking over the songs, I can't find a whole lot in common.

... becuz we 15 are all idjuts who didn't pay close enough attention to titles matching tracks when we clicked links (which presumably includes the people in the 15 who voted for you) as it was our responsibility to spot such things... instead of yers?
oh wait. you voted in the front 15, too. you didn't spot it, either.
p.s. and yes, martha's doing a kickass job.

Why would I click the link to listen to something I'd already picked and knew? I'm a idjut for picking stuff I like rather than try to play the odds.

Man, the old guard is going down fast. Makes me kinda glad I was slow on the uptake this year.

considering you didn't click on the link and listen before you sent in the list...? mwhaha.
yeah, this thread is the free bitch zone. frame yer bitchery as you will. but ya know, by focusing on that one track, you are still just blaming others for a technical mistake that was yers. and as i am a free bitch, i will recriminate yer recriminations.
yer original jab, whether you were implying those 15 were stupid or just not caring about listening to links, is really pretty silly. you wanna start faulting people for that, start with yerself. you obviously submitted yer list with a stupid mistake that would've been caught by you had you listened to yer own links at any point.
not that i personally think that one fucqued up title/link, whichever way people went with it, either made or broke yer list in the voting. (frankly, "love is blue" may've been more dangerous, although i love that track.) but it isn't my responsibility to understand psychically whether you wanted the title or the link. some people may've been familiar enough with the title you listed or loved it enough not to need a link at all. (i didn't know either title or link. i went with that i had, the link.)
the point, same as it ever was: it really isn't anyone's responsibility to "fix" yer mistake for you, even if they knew for sure *how* you wanted it fixed. to fault them for not doing it is bitchery, yes, but bogus.
it makes much more sense when you bitch about staying true to yer school instead of playing the odds. i never play the odds when i play these things myself, which is why i've never gotten past the second round in this cup.
i *did* get to a tiebreaker at the end of a second round once. and then i had to put up a stevie ray vaughan track.
