It might have been a week, i think.

Not two days as usual? This is going to go on forever.

The plan is to post two games a day Monday-Friday and leave the voting open all week then tot all up the scores and update the tables for each round the following Monday after the weekend. It gives people the whole week to vote when they can as not everyone can stick to a strict 48 hour deadline but I may blow for full time if I see that everyone playing has already voted in a particular match.

This week is a bit different because I didn't have all the lists in and I'm away for four days over Easter. I now have all the lists so I will post the remaining round 1 games before I leave and blow for full time on all games when I return on Tuesday. All Round 2 games will be posted next week, Round 3 the following week and so on.

Doesn't that mean that some games get more time than others?

Yes, but every game gets a minimum of 72 hours. Some people can only vote at weekends which is why I don't want to enforce an artificial deadline in the middle of the week for the first matches as it may exclude some players from voting. I won't be updating any league tables until after the weekend anyway so there's no point.

As I said, if I see that all 20 players have voted in match I will call time and add up the scores, but if some people still haven't voted then I'll keep it open till 8am Monday morning my time (midnight Sunday UK time) then add up the score regardless.

This system worked fine in the first cup. There are 9 rounds so it won't take any longer than 9 weeks.

As it happens this is the first match where everyone has voted so:

A fine result that.

If there's a few more BBT admirers as a result of this then I'm a happy boy.

Shame that I couldn't find "East Coast Racer" on YouTube as that would have been my choice of track to post up in the comp (it simply has every element that makes the band so appealing) as I knew "Curator of Butterflies" (beautiful though it is) would not have enough balls for some listeners.

(C of B already has a special little place in my heart as my 10yo daughter (otherwise completely dismissive of my music (I blame her Mum!)) sings along to it and keeps asking me to play it in the car.) :D

Fantastic! :D

The EP that clocks in at 43 minutes "Far Skies Deep Time" is also very good. Prior to that is pre David Longdon (singer and flutist) and whilst good, not AS good, imo.

I look forward to your feedback.

yep. will do on the feedback. i think it was NMB who had underfall yard up the last time we did this, and i absolutely luvved it. i meant to get it. the problem:

my next birthday will be my fiftieth
+
inordinate droog consumption during my formative years
+
spawning, which automatically passes on brain cellarage just as it does genetic material
+
years and years of being on the brain clock in front of a very impressionable and warpable crowd of thousands
+
too much stress for one human, really
+
inordinate alcohol consumption due to stress
+
whatever else i forgot
=
durrrrrrrr (slobberslobber) where did i put my ass? has anyone seen my ass? oh, lookie, a passing fleck of dust.. let's go chase it around the house with a net!! yippeeeeeeee!! ...

... you get the picture.

(i've heard one or two other tracks here and there, just by accident. i have luvved all i've heard.. can't wait.)
