Lots of good stuff on both, as you'd expect at this stage but B is starting to smell a bit whiffy to me. It's gone a bit starchy with the last five. Off putting. Its safe artist choices (the lab, Sly, sam and dave, adverts) are a bit obvious as well. And all I can think when I played that Marcos Valle song is Caroline Aherne going "scorchio!". Still, that Beau Brummels pick is a personal favourite and the Witch (ooo, that video!) is not to be sniffed at. A novelty pick that works. And Regulate brings back some pleasant memories.

As for A's new five. Well, Why is an uninspired Byrds pick. They did so much better but then you have some fine dub and prime james Brown. A potent double whammy. Similar to B its safe artist picks tend to be obvious choices as well (cramps, Who, Bunnymen, Roxy). Hmmm, what I wouldn't give to see Casanova instead of Editions of You again.

Close, very close. I'll come back to this once I've listened to some links again but I'm edging towards B.

I would never be so superficial as to punish a list for beating mine, and B deserves credit where credit is due- it's still a great list. However, it simply can't contend with A's new five, which includes my favorite Buzzcocks song, a great Byrds deep cut (single version! Nice touch!), a nice reggae obscurity and the James Brown/Dolls double-whammy.

Despite its couple of missteps (mostly early on) I reiterate that it's my favorite list left on the board. I might have even voted for it against mine had things gone differently.

Fuck it, I'm going for B. A has that air of calculation that puts me off. There's nothing on there that would make the cheese eating, good-taste-brigade froth at the mouth and at this stage that's what I want. I demand a Bjork! Not that B has much of that thing either mind but it's a bit spunkier overall and more suited to my tastes. And if it goes through and you pick Bjork you will have my vote.

Very tough, but B is a little more adventurous and I really like that Townes Van Sandt track which was new for me.

A is very strong, but it's too strong. No chances taken (apart from the Propellerheads, and that's dreadful), no quirks or little hints of personality. It may well win this thing.
B has its share of "canon classics" but also more individual choices.

Two of my favourite lists. I'm going A this time because I prefer the new five. Sorry B.

I like both more than all 4 lists in matches 1 and 2. I like B more of the two. Nice.
