Pretty tough call, but B's new 5 don't inspire as much as A's do.

This is a toughie.

I was all set to dislike B's Springdick choice, but it's really rather good. And 'Love Comes In Spurts' and 'Freak Scene' are both serious, long-standing faves of mine. But the rest? Not convinced.

A is schizophrenic. I love the Elevators, Nazz, Easybeats and Pretties selections, and that's a beauty from Big Star, but there ain't much else that would cause me to smile. But it's definitely more my thing.

Normally a list containing Pretty Things and Harpers Bizarre would attract me, but these are poor selections from both and that's put me off rather. I think I'll go B
