Yep 27-27 here too.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.

I too make it 27-27.

B had a big lead at one stage too.

Indeed - epic comeback for A! Very surprising. Well, thanks to everyone for their confirmation of what is the first tied match of the 2013 Cup. I will now approach both contestants for five more songs and those five songs alone will face-off in a quickfire 24-hour contest.

Would it be quicker to have a penalty shoot out?

How far away do the contestants live from each other and do either have a sizeable back garden?

Well, I can't give too much about their precise geographical location, let's just say they don't live in the same country...

Ah. :(

Suitable floodlighting may also have been an issue, not to mention health and safety.

I will keep an eye on this thread for the eventual result.

I am not finding the cup boring, I like it a lot.

I think a duel at dawn would be the fairest way to settle this one.

I've always wondered about the strategy in a tied match....do you submit the five you'd planned -- do you custom create 5 new ones, do you just pick 5 brilliant BCB cannon songs....

It's hard to know just how to play it.

Good luck to both of you.

I've found when I've been in that situation that it does tend to make you err on the safe side.

Exactly. And then you're stuck with a few sell-out songs when your proper next round begins. It's a drag.
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Which is why I've always favoured a stand alone 3 or 5 song penalty shootout/arse-kicking contest. The winner can then still offer something fresh in the next round instead of some stuff we've all seen before.
