A would have lost against most lists, I don't see its appeal really.

But then don't like The Fall either.

I'm suprised there are that many Fall songs that I like. That a Fall list couldn't find a place for L.A. though gives it a black mark in my book. Not that it mattered, Falling and Laughing would have triumphed anyway.

No doubt, I'd vote for B against some lists. But I like A well enough.

I think I can spare a vote for B.

Honestly, I have to know...just have to...what the next five will be :D

I already used the best Orange Juice single and it wasn't that one

Really though "novelty" list or not I'm not finding much to like in A and I happen to like The Fall a lot

A has a couple of good picks, but also has the excerable Glasvegas. I fucking HATE Glasvegas with a passion. "Yer gaunnae get stabbed". "Square go". Fuck off. Utter shite. And James Allan is a twat.

Against most other lists, the Glasvegas pick might well have been enough for B to get my vote. But I'm not exactly a Fall fan (yeah, they've had a few moments, but, really?), so the day is saved for A.

Having said that, A will need to be REALLY lucky to get my vote in round 2...

Believe it or not there are some lists in this that I would have voted for B against, but A is good enough to escape that fate.
For the record, it's nice to see a few themed/novelty lists still getting including despite the avalanche of abuse they always seem to get.

Ha! for a while, it looked like B might actually win, for its MESsy selection of songs clearly found fans. Anyway it ended A38, B 22; B, in case you hadn't guessed, was this year's Carlsson list, though I'm a little sceptical that he really is a fan of The Fall! A isn't happy, and has already PM'd me to express displeasure; nonetheless A has prevailed and should send me five more songs!

Tough luck Carlsson. To be sure you had a better shot at winning with the Fall than your usual list of prog offers. Next year try side 2 of Elo's TIME. I like that album.

Man, I'd sure as hell be happy. This is the only bye in the damn tournament!

Indeed, there is the point that C never gets into the second round; the contestant in question believed there was block voting, hence the displeasure. Hard to prove, that one...

Funnily enough I can really imagine Mark E slurring "seminally robust, seminally robust, roBUST-AH" over some glam racket.

Maybe we should create a separate thread, and have everyone sign up, so we'll be able to get the whole group to vote against the list in Round 2.

Huh?

The esteemed C posted a list of Fall songs? :o

I am shocked.

Yes, I am.
