A just shades it, only just, thanks to Sigur Ros.

Two lists that lack cohesion, a few decent to great tracks with huge chunks of tasteless WTF? moments. If I go for A it's because it's hitting me slightly softer.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

This took some sorting out. Two fully committed lists full of diamonds and dross. A rare case of the worst track deciding it for me - that awful Lesley Gore track.

Tough one. Are SRC and Fairport Convention good enough to make me go for A. Almost, but then the other list has Lee Moses and a great blast from the past with Monaco.

A plunges off the cliff at the end. Sigur fucking Ros then 'I Suck' which is the very worst kind of indie shite. Just criminal. Even if the rest of the list was great it would make me doubt the compiler. As it happens the rest of the list isn't up to much anyway and a predictable Fairport Convention song isn't helping. Nor is that world cup theme. B isn't great but it's got some nice picks.

A couple of grown up lists, wearing their hearts on their sleeves. It pits Drivers Seat (not to be sniffed at) against a seldom-heard Lesley Gore treat. A hard call.

I like a couple on A, but B is more appealing to me in the end.

Both lists were enjoyed, however the thing that turned me off the losing list was the monaco track which I have always hated.

Therefore for me it is

Apart from Fairport and "Ali Baba," two utterly alien lists.
I want to hear more from B.

A has John Holt and Lesley Gore, at least. But I can't see it winning the cup. Still, it has my vote.

B - again, not really inspired by either. Ironically, Elliott Smith spared me from despairing.
