B for me.

Such chutzpah to put Cock Sparrer and Lee Moses on the same list. This sort of thing should be rewarded.
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Very personal and uncompromising lists, neither (seemingly) played with winning this thing in mind.

A by a pretty small margin.

This was tough. Very similar lists, both with a lot of stuff I didn't know, and both with some steaming piles of mediocrity. B, I guess. More pure crap (APB, WTF?) but more greatness too- Death, Elliot Smith, VDGG.

Mood Six and Cock Sparrow..? Solarskope must be the only person on earth to dig both of those. I was convinced he must have entered through another competitor..but thern I saw Monaco, which he certainly wouldn't put on any list. So it's a loony then..but a loony who picks a fantastic Lee Moses track and a genuinely inspired left field choice in that semi-forgotten Sniff n' The Tears track, the kind of radio hit you forget about until someone nominates it in a competition like this. It was good to hear it again.
All of which leaves A looking rather conventional, although it's put together in a way that will see it win this one reasonably comfortably.

EDIT: I've played more of A's links. It's actually very good indeed and deserves to go further, though I'll be a little sad to see B go.

A

A difficult call, two lists that have strong personalities and some good picks as well as a couple of goofs. I think A is that bit more convincing.

No one could accuse either of these lists of pandering, that's for sure!

I'm having a tough time deciding...

B.

Both intriguing, but my lack of love for Lesley Gore there swings it.

Thats me definitely relieved I didn't go for Spitfire. A is very good, though and wins for me.

It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.
