Not overly keen on A, but I really can't stand that Tubeway Army song and Heart singing Stairway To heaven. What the fuck were you thinking ???

A

a list of very high heights and very low depths, but the good songs are enough to get my vote.
I agree with the above comments about Heart's 'Stairway' Is that a stab at being current? :?

It is actually quite refreshing to see two lists where you don't have to spend too much time trawling through links. They're quite similar in how they approach things, but A's highs are higher than B. Equally as crucially its lows ( the rather soppy Dream Academy and the mundane guitar pop of Sleepy Jackson) aren't as low as Bs ( Rush and the completely pointless Stairway cover).

Rush is pretty much the death knell to any list for me. A is pretty formulaic, but the songs are better in general.

A is OK. I quite like that Sleepy Jackson song. Glittering Prize is always good to hear.

Holy crap! I should be so lucky to go up against a list with Rush and Heart's cover of Stairway on it. Very risky strategy, B!

On the other hand, A has songs I actually really do like a lot. The live Roxy tune is a great pick. That song was always crying out for a violin part! Velvets, Tribe Called Quest - and that New Order track is my favorite thing I've ever heard of theirs.

B is, erm, interesting. A is slightly lacking in imagination but it contains the fabulous Glittering Prize so it gets my thumbs up.

Much to like in both lists. And much of dubious taste too. Safe in my Garden is an overlooked gem.
So I'll give it to B.

Probably my 2 favourite lists of the 20 that have been posted so far. unfortunate to vote against B, but that's the luck of the draw.
