I'm liking the way A seems to mix in all sorts of classics from a variety of genres and eras (from the O'Jays to OMD, if you will), and yet somehow they seem to fit together. Both lists are great though!
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

I could barely see myself voting in favor of either of these against plenty of the other lists. I'll swing it to B though on a scant few merits.
