Thanks for the kind words Loki.

My opponent put together a good list that with its focus on power pop, new wave and rootsy soul very much hit the core of BCB tastes. I could say mine had a bit more invention, which is probably true, but I also know many voters eyes glaze over when they see names they don't recognise. Actually that sounds more bitter than I intended..I had a good run. It was a shame that some of the people who supported my list previously dropped out of the voting, but it wouldn't have made a difference in the result. I lost the US vote big time in this tie so I could see the way the voting was going on page two that it wasn't going to be my year.

Good luck to my opponent and good luck to my opponent's future opponent because they're going to need it!
