I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

everything that needs to be said about A has been covered already. B has added The Prisoners, The Litter and Staples Singers to an already decent list and is moving along nicely.

To be honest anyone voting A reveals a complete lack of curiosity about music beyond the very mainstream.

i'm not quite sure that comment is really fair. you forgot about those of us who voted for both lists in the first round. of course, when they appeared head-to-head here, those same ones of us re-assessed, listened to what we didn't know in the new fives, and reached the conclusion that, while both lists are still groovy, there are simply more songs we find diggable in the first list, even though it was close song-count-wise.

A is lazy in both selection and in not bothering with links. Do you want your audience to run the ball down the field for you too?

B had some entertainment value. It gets my vote.

The other list seems to care too much about the cup. I checked out the stuff I didn't know and instead of delivering solid gold, there's a lot of cool-sounding emptiness.
