This is the real problem with A. Even though they are two of his best. Otherwise I too would have been prepared to display my lack of curiosity beyond the very mainstream. And the Staples Singers addition on B is seriously good.

B is a great list, and A has some great songs but is not a great list. I don't see a problem with picking two by the same artist.
Alas, it's B with minimal deliberation.
