Bitter Recriminations 2012

Postby Butch Manly » 05 Feb 2012, 10:49

May I be the first to say that I cannot believe the utter fucking drivel that beat my glorious list this year. I fucking despair of the fucking lot of you. You utter, utter fucking clueless morons.

Yeah? You haven't lost to a list with the Wombles on it....

I despair that we have to hit 'post reply' first on these boards in this section before we can spout our nonsense...

It's a stress-free Matty that won't have to post one of these.

What's the spread on yellowjacket?
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

This is going to be tough. Twelve lists in 48 hours. Leaves me hardly any time to listen to stuff to be honest.

I know what you mean. I'll have to confess to not listening to all the clips provided in their entirety. Just don't have time to do that. I do need those links though, speaking for myself, because it looks as though I'm going to be hearing a lot of new stuff in the near future!

I see the puns on the names of this year's outgoing players are up to their usual standard of terribleness. :)

I quite liked this year's exit pun for me.

But losing by two votes sucks dead donkey's balls. Here, read some of the reviews my list (list A in match 5) got:

by The Red Heifer » Thu Feb 09, 2012 4:09 pm

A wins this in a landslide. C for the other vote.

by TopCat G » Wed Feb 08, 2012 7:00 am

Wow this is is really tough. I've decided to go for A, partly because it's "Rock With You" pick is the kind of smart pop pick that's often underrepresented and underappreciated in the BCB cup. I also have a soft spot for "Vencemeros".

by Clint Planet » Wed Feb 08, 2012 7:45 am

a is fantastic - Make Yours a Happy Home is a huge personal favourite. C is also good.

landslide, smart pop pick, fucking fantastic.

And what do we get from the nay-sayers?

Fucking drivel. That's what:

by McBastard » Wed Feb 08, 2012 7:36 am

Very difficult. I feel bad about not being able to vote for A,

You feel bad, do you? I lost by two votes!

by toomanyhatz » Wed Feb 08, 2012 6:50 am

Well, C has ... the Red Button, with a friend of mine and Quaco's singing!) so that's a no-brainer

Oh, friends, eh? Name-dropping cunt.

by The Fish » Wed Feb 08, 2012 6:48 am

A plays it safe at times, but still fails to wow me somehow.

In the immortalising words of Mark "Chopper" Read, "What the fuck are you on about?" It didn't play safe enough to wow you? The bits that weren't safe still failed to wow you?

Wow you? You're a fish.

I could go on but I feel you now understand the near-criminal act of negligence that has gone on here.

I have been dry-stroked. You have all fucked me without Vaseline.

Thank you and good night.

I getting a 7.4 on the recriminometer. The last line bumped it up a little. Well played, sir.

And you were fucking robbed.

I'm down for the recriminations- fair is fair, and being called a cunt around these parts is often a compliment- but selective editing is dirty pool. I suggest anyone that thinks this is how it actually went down go back to the original thread. The real secret to losing my vote (and of course it's a game of inches) was allowing mediocrities like Talking Heads and Lambchop to sully your list. That's what you gotta live with. If the guy I know had given me a wedgie in kindergarten (and come to think of it he might've) that list still would've gotten my vote.
