Difficult to choose, but had to go for A because of the awfulness of that McAlmont & Butler record.

B, which i'm still going for because of the brilliance of that McAlmont & Butler record. :D

Tough call, but I prefer B's new 5.

Thought this was closer, then I looked again. B is very good indeed, you know.

It's B.

Pressure Drop? That's so BCB cup circa 2009. Or was it 2008? Either way that song has been played out cupwise. And B has Elliott Smith. Nuff said.

These two lists are shaping up nicely. Really great stuff.

After some consideration, B edges it for me. One of my very favourite songs in 'Little Doll', a smart Hendrix selection, one of the only S&G songs I like, and crackers by Wanda Jackson, Blur, Can and Muddy Waters. The other list is spoiled a little with dodgy Kate Bush, Placebo, and Smiths' choices - altho' overall it's smashing stuff.

Both are very much a mixed bag with acts I really dislike (Placebo, Sigur Ros) but so it's toss coin time....

B

Sorry, A.

Edit: think I was a little off-target first-time round: on second impressions, B isn't quite as "BCB Cup" as I'd thought first time. However, I'm not really sure it does enough in terms of coming up with imaginative selections or varying its moods, so my vote isn't changing: I'm not really convinced by A, but it does enough.

I don't quite trust A's taste, for every smart pick there's something where you just think why.
B has the stronger songs here.
