Yeah I did feel like I was a bit late to the party considering the song also had over 5 million views on youtube!

So people actually listen to the songs before voting?
I'm glad to hear that.

Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

I've already listened to At Home He's a Tourist by Gang of Four 3 times from Tie 1. I love it!

Yup, sadly a lot of stuff in the Cup is new to me. But I am trying to make up for it quickly

Some nice Brazilian stuff from Rita Lee and Astrud Gilberto. There's something really refreshing about Brazilian pop, I find.

Son House's 'John The Revelator' was, er, a revelation. Seriously powerful music.
Re: What have you discovered? (2011)
Rahsaan Roland Kirk's version of Ain't No Sunshine is the best thing I've discovered so far I think.

I loved one of the comments on you tube - "Black guys invented punk as well"
Not Yompy; a pox on such revisionism.

As astonishing as this may seem, my fave discovery so far has been 'She's Gone' by Hall & Oates. Completely passed me by till now. What a superb slow jam!

I've always been intrigued by the whole AM thing. It sounds like something I'd be down with, though it's such a subtle (but huge) difference between Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles, so it might be a bit of a minefield!
Because I only really listen to talk radio, there are whole swathes of music that BCB-ers think of as overplayed/pap that I just treat on its own merits. I'm kinda glad about it.
