Seems there's a lot of Asian conglomerates taking a big shine to Mr. Boom reclaiming top spot here- especially from Hong Kong there's plenty of yen being dumped, shortening Boom's odds to minuscule proportions.
Last year's luminaries see a fair chunk of bets too with last year's runners-up receiving support, especially in boxed trifectas. Australasian interest being mainly invested in Magilla who is reaping better odds that Michael Clarke scoring a ton in the one day-series with the Poms. Much faith also being put into the female competitors, possibly because of some spread-bets by someone called Oprah.

Any names missing from the master sheet is because of investigations currently running in regards to some illegal betting rings trying to influence lists- especially the call from some special-interest-groups for some lists to include Belle & Sebastian-tracks in lieu for gratuitous nudity are currently being investigated- they will be reinstated after the OSI has cleared this mess up.

Bet safely and wisely. We do not accept IOUs.

I'll put 50 quid on an each way bet for TRGP, who is very generously priced there. He has always done well in the cup (much better than me, so I'm surprised to find myself a greater favourite) and he's quite clever about picking a range of stuff to get votes. It could be his year if BCB decides it can embrace a wider, more spicier canon.

What's the % on that book? You can't have 2 odds on in a field of 96!

Balboa at 66/1 looks a good bet, his list beat mine last year and I thought it could have gone all the way. I think he could do well again this time round.

Strange odds!

I'll have 40 on myself and a tenner each on TRGP, Jeff K and Balboa, thanks.

I'll have a fiver on the idiot at 250/1 into a quinella with the idiot at 66/1, if Nick can somehow run 1 AND 2 I'll be a rich rich moo cow.

In all seriousness, 50 each way on Coan, I always rate his BCB Cup performances, and he's due a big one.

I think the EPRA has made some kind of deal with the Prog boys. How do you explain those odds otherwise? I'll be watching the voting patterns carefully :ugeek:

Be careful what you wish for, folks - I bet the mortgage on John K at 125/1 last year, ended up winning Brisbane, and look how that panned out...

(ps, I'm surprised Betheifer hasn't folded after I took 'em to the cleaners last year! )

19/2 for funky_nomad is, frankly, akin to backing a pot of glue in The Derby.

I must warn anyone tempted to pick me at 10/1. Shockingly short odds given that I've picked my most 'no surrender' list yet. I'll say no more, lest I give the game away, but I doubt even the Taste Police will stand behind me this time!

Damn I missed that one. That's an absolute steal as he's always one of the favourites.
Never/Ever must be having some sort of "prog" moment in giving those odds! :)
