A took me out in the last round (by two votes! :x ) but it's a great list and I'm happy to vote for it.

That new Robert Wyatt selection is total Snarfybait.

If it comes down to this list vs the one that just beat Packrat, I don't know how I'm going to be able to decide.

I really, really, really like both, and wish A had been matched against some of the other Round 4 contenders, because it would have gotten my vote against almost anyone - except for the magnificent B in this match.

Ooh, two very strong, serious-minded lists, which means there will be at least one list I really like in the next round.

Tonight, however, I'm choosing B - A has a single-minded excellence; it's a powerful and muscular list, but B switches moods more often while keeping the flow going. At the moment, that latter approach works for me.

I don't know about this Gillian Welch business either, come to think of it.

Don't much like either list. Grudgingly,

How do I love B? Let me count the ways...

Seriously, I'll be gutted if it doesn't go through. There'll be next to nothing left that I'm passionate about.

A is actually good but it's excursions into Mayfield and Coltrane don't mask a draggy single-mindedness.

Or maybe B.

This one really is very very close - I'm going to call it on the latest five additions:- which means it's gonna be A after all.

Except that means voting against The Groovies, The Spoonful & CCR, (but also, quite deservedly, against Cabaret Voltaire & GZA). It also means voting for Mission Of Burma, The Fall & Pavement. Which is absolutely unacceptable. Therefore in a complte volte face I'm going B. Definitely B. For now.

A lot of the tracks have been seen before so loses marks for originality. Some great tracks though so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Not really worth the wait. Not much on B appeals at all. At least A has two massive hitters from the Stones and Robert Wyatt.

A. Don't like either list really and they both have the fucking Fall. It was a toss up between Powderfinger & Autobahn and Neil won.
