"U2 routinely spent a year in the studio...I have a theory: if you put four monkeys in the studio for a year with Lanois and Eno and Lillywhite, they would make a pretty good record, too."
Re: LA COPA: R4, M3
List A picks things from across a range of genres extremely astutely and gets it right most of the time. Its lack of anything that surprising or unusual does make you wonder whether it's all a bit calculating. Nevertheless it has the quality and I doubt anything will stop it winning the competition.
I like the feel of B and it continues to pick tracks I enjoy. My main reservation over it is that it seems a little too tied to a UK pop perspective, it could do with casting its net wider.
Difficult choice..I'm going to go for B as I feel it maybe a more personalised list.

Re: LA COPA: R4, M3
Can't make up my mind about either of these, to be honest. A is very tasteful and has some good stuff, but there's something just a little dull about it. B has more personality and would perhaps be more fun, but it's also a bit narrow in its focus on UK indie. I can't choose right now, really.

Yep, that's where I am too. I think I'll reward the sort-of modernity of B, though. It generally picks good tracks, even if they're a bit indie.

OK, I'm going with B. I like plenty of things on A, but it plays a far too predictable hand. I'd like to see a bit more of B - I could probably easily put together more of A myself.
